Job Details – Laborer

 

Bryson Grading & Paving is looking to hire enthusiastic and hardworking laborers to assist our paving, excavating and demolition crews.  As a laborer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, load and unload frequently heavy materials, and follow directions from supervisors.  Laborers should be physically fit and be able to work long hours in all weather conditions. 

 

Laborer Responsibilities:

• Safely Operate and care for construction equipment and machines

• Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary

• Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards

• Load or unload construction materials

• Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding.

• Remove, fill, or compact earth

• Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers

• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines

• Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety

• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary

• Perform site clean-up.

 

Laborer Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license

• Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment

• Be at least 18 years of age

• High school diploma is an asset

• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks

• Ability to work in all weather

• Workers must be punctual and reliable

• Previous experience, especially in particular industry, preferred

 

Bryson Grading & Paving does work in Highlands, Cashiers, Franklin, & surrounding areas in Western North Carolina and is a drug free workplace. Must be willing to commute to Highlands every day.

 

Job Type: Full-time

 

Pay: $15 per hour and up
